Waltham Forest will host a fantastic free evening event on Saturday 21 July as the borough celebrates the arrival of the Olympic Flame.
We will be providing local talent in the shape of UnityUK, the awesome hip-hop dance group from Sky’s Got to Dance, the amazing vocal talents of Mizz Camara and the energetic free runners Rhythm Kour Collective.
You will also be able to enjoy the Hip-Hop sounds of Rizzle Kicks, thanks to Coca-Cola, one of the official Presenting Partners of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay. The other two Presenting Partners, Lloyds TSB and Samsung will also bring 20 minutes of entertainment in the shape of exciting up-and-coming live music, amazing acrobatic performances and dance performances. Towards the end of the two-hour show, Waltham Forest's final torchbearer of the day will light a celebration cauldron.

Have you won tickets to Urban Classic in the first ballot?
Make sure you check your email (including your junk folders) to find out if you have been successful. Winners must collect their tickets from Monday 14 May to Monday 28 May from Leyton Orient Football Club. Apply for tickets by 12noon Wednesday 30 May to be included in the second ballot for any remaining tickets. More information about the ballot process and draw dates can be found here.
Walthamstow will host a genre-busting musical extravaganza on Thursday 5 July when the modern urban styles of Fazer, Ms Dynamite, Devlin and Skepta collide with the world-renowned BBC Symphony Orchestra for Urban Classic.
Urban Classic promises to be a really exciting event, bringing together top musicians whose paths might not ordinarily cross and exposes fans of both classical and urban music to different styles and possibilities.

Welcome to The Big 6 website – this is the place where you will find all the latest news on The Big 6 events first.
Waltham Forest Council is bringing you six amazing events to celebrate the Olympic year and our status as a host borough! We are putting on these events free for our residents to say thank you for supporting the Games, and to create some memories of the Olympic year that will last a lifetime.
The Big 6 events are being funded entirely by one-off funding opportunities generated by the 2012 Games.
Make sure you put the dates in your diary now!
All events are free and you just turn up on the day. The only exceptions are Party on the Pitch and Urban Classic. As we expect a high demand for these events tickets will be allocated through a ballot for Waltham Forest residents.

Party on the Pitch: the biggest party that the borough has ever seen - this weekend!
We've got UK pop megastar Alexandra Burke, we've got platinum album selling Scouting For Girls, we've got pure pop sensations The Saturdays and we've got Carib-pop act Cover Drive. It's going to be a spectacular event!
In addition we have the amazing vocal talents of Mizz Camara, local talent in the shape of UnityUK, the awesome hip-hop dance group from Sky’s Got to Dance. The event will be hosted by Stuart Goldsmith with music and entertainment by Kaleidisco.

Cover Drive announced as fourth act to play Party on the Pitch
The self-styled 'Carib-pop' act hail from Barbados, they've supported the likes of Rihanna and Dappy and set the charts aflame with two massive hit singles including no1 Single Twilight. With their debut album, Bajan Style, due for release on Monday 7 May, Cover Drive's fresh, fun, sun-soaked sound is set to dominate the airwaves in 2012.
Expect reggae, dub and soca with a massive dose of pop as they add even more spice to a truly stunning evening.
